Jah Rainbow

Title: Jah Rainbow
Medium: Silhouette/cut-out design, created on computer.
Dimensions:
Date: c. 2002
Comments: A design combining some of the most important symbols of the Rastafarian religion: Africa (representing the Promised Land), the Lion of Judah (symbol of Christ), the Star of David (two interlocking triangles, akin to the interlocking yin and yang), and Jamaica (here shown positioned over Ethiopia on the Horn of Africa). The images are linked by the arc of the rainbow, symbol of hope and of Jah (God’s) promise to humankind, never to utterly destroy humanity.

Prints available (maximum size A4). Please contact me for further details.
